History
Woodlawn Kennel Inc. was established in 1976 by Tom and Susie Benson and has been one of the areas leading boarding kennels ever since. We've been extremely active in the ABKA holding the first Regional Meeting of the ABKA in Virginia and attending the very first Convention. Many of the boarding facilities in the area that have come along since 1976 have modeled their policies after Woodlawn Kennel but Woodlawn Kennel is the original boarding facility. With years of experience and long time experienced employees. Woodlawn Kennel is "the happy place" for pets. Tom passed away in 2006 but the facility continues to be operated by Susie with the help of her two sons, Brock and Cameron and her longtime staff.
Woodlawn Kennel is a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States the Mt. Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau and of course the ABKA now known as the PCSA (Pet care services Asso.).
