Family Pets Boarding Together
Accommodations are available for those who would like their family's pets of the same species to room together. Our policy is family dogs will are feed together( Unless otherwise specified) It is a good idea while boarding to feed separately to avoid any confrontation in kennels.
We do ask for your cooperation in limiting the amount of belongings you send with your pet . While infrequent, please be aware these articles may become lost or damaged at times.
Dog Feedings- Dry Rice & Lamb Blend
Lamb Meal & Rice for Sensitive Dogs
- Glucose & Chondroitin for Healthy Joints
- Omega Fatty Acid Balance for Healthy Skin & Coat, & Overall Good Health
- Chelated Minerals, especially important for growing puppies & reproducing mothers.
We are now offering we can provide your dog with speciality foods based on their needs. (please ask when setting reservation) (prices may vary upon request) |
Bringing in Your pets Own Food You may provide your pet's regular food if you choose we ask that the food is separated in bags for individual meals & labeled. If your dog is eating the diet provided by the kennel at regular feeding times, this is included in all boarding fees. We feed once in the early evening- the first day of the dogs stay if arriving before 5:00 PM will be feed unless something different is requested at the time of arrival. |
- Medical Care
If your pet should require medical attention while in our care our customary procedure is to contact your veterinarian. Should the nature of your pet's illness require an office visit we reserve the right to utilize our on-call veterinarian (this decision depends on the illness & the travel time to your veterinarian). Upon arrival we will ask you to provide your veterinarian's contact information.
Our caring staff can administer any oral or topical medications your dog may require during their visit.

Larger dogs - 75 pounds more on lesss depending on availability will board in the indoor/outdoor kennels or the I/O. All runs are heated & air conditioned. All kennels are indoor, there is an atrium door that we raise up that allows the dogs access to their own outside run. This door is left open most of the day, weather permitting, so that the dogs can come in & out as they please. All dogs have plenty of blankets, & space & we make sure to keep their water bowls full at all times. |
Small dogs- 45 pounds and under are kept in large flight kennels all dogs additionally have access to outside runs. All areas are climate controlled. The flight kennels are a large comfortable size. The smallest ones are still large  enough that a small lab or a German shepherd could fit in there comfortably. ( there are exceptions to puppies & extra small dogs -special accommodations will be made in this case please call ahead for arrangements.
Cat Feedings rates are listed below)Caan be finicky as most cat owners know so make sure to call ahead for information on cats feedings & special feedings or medications for your precious pet. Bedding-All bedding freshly laundered each day. |
REQUIRED for boarding overnight or doggie daycare -
For the safety of your pet & the other boarders, we here at Woodlawn Kennel require all pets to have their shots. We must verify your cat's &/or dog's immunization record's prior to check-in. Dogs & cats must have had RABIES SHOTS.  Dogs require DHLPP & BORDETELLA (canine cough) & cats, their FVRCPP shots . Woodlawn Kennel is concerned for your pet's well-being so we recommend getting your dog tested for heart worm disease & be on a preventative program. For your convenience you or your Vet can fax them to us @ 703-360-6880. Certification from a veterinarian is required from each of our guests before admittance can be allowed. |
