We offer MANY types of training with varying packages
to suit each individual client's needs.

 "The BASIC'S" VIRGINIA DOG & PUPPY TRAINING

This type of  Virginia Pet Training consists of six once-a-week private sessions at our kennel facilities. We train you & your dog together--stressing such basic comm&s as "heel, sit, down, stay, place & come on comm&"  In addition we will help you the owner work with the dog on any specific behaviors or problems. You bring your special pet in for training & you will take a better well behaved pet home at the end of each session.

Then you will be able to practice throughout the week at home to reinforce the training.

IN-KENNEL:  "Virginia Doggie Boot Camp"

We sometimes call this "Doggie Boot-camp" because the animal is boarded with us for intensive training. We teach the basic comm&s of "heel, sit, down, stay, place & common comm&". The dog will also learn to heed the word "no" or "out" which ever you decide. We also work on any specific behavior or problems the pet may have.

The difference between this & private lessons training is that the dog stays with us for ,

14-days or 4-week session while the training is completed.

The owner is then taught how to work with the dog to reinforce the work we started. You also get four follow-up lessons in dealing with your dog.

 

IN-KENNEL DAYCARE

Daycare-training. Drop-off at 8-9am & pick up before 6pm. This gives you a way to have your cake & eat it too. Which means we do in-kennel training , you can have the day to yourself &have your dog back for the evening.We can do anything with this package. We can start from the beginning or do a refresher course.

BE THE LEADER OF THE PACK

 It is important for the owner to be directly involved in the training process. After all, it's you who have to live with each other. We teach you how to take charge of your dog. Better yet, we teach you what is in your dogs mind & why they do the crazy things they do. These animals are born with a pack mentality. They need a leader to guide them in the appropriate direction. They are eager to please. But, they have to know what you want. They don't speak english they learn from action & reaction. The owner "leader" must understand what the animal is "saying" by it's behavior & how to give leadership & the discipline needed.

This is an exceptionally fast way to train your dog & may even be able to walk off leash. The collar can heal all bad habits such as barking, chewing, trash eating, & even house breaking.We offer this training with any of the packages.

FAQ :

Is this safe & humane for my pet?

Absolutely, the collar transmits an tiny shock similar to putting a 9-volt battery on the tongue. It does not burn the dog & throughout the training it is not used as just correction but as a training method. The collar can also be used as praise, which is essential to having a dog trained correctly 

How much is it & where can I buy one?

We are a sales office of Tri-tronics dog collars, one of the nations top e-collar businesses. You can get the collars through us & they run from $99 to $250 & for real sportsman & field training they can go up to $500. For our purposes we like to stay practical & under $300.
